The last few months have been very busy. Sherri went to Seattle in May for a trademark attorney conference and was able to visit with Kent's sister Susan. We had hardwood floors installed in our house in May. The 5 day project of course took 16 days and we lived with a friend in the neighborhood. It was so crazy not being in our house, but we learned that Porter sleeps pretty well in a closet!
Porter turned 1 on May 22. Porter can walk now and is getting pretty good at it. At his 1 year appointment, his statistics are 90th percentile for height, 90th for head size and 70th for weight. He is about 23.5 pounds. Porter has had trouble eating since he was born and it has continued with him eating solid foods. He has made progress, though. At 1 year old his has been able to eat a full size Cheerio and not choke. He even went for an entire week without throwing up. It was a short lived week as he has thrown up several times this week, but the frequency is much less, only every other day or so, and not 3+ times a day. Porter loves very strong flavored foods and eats just about anything that isn't too bland. Porter has lots of teeth. He started getting them at 4 months and just got 4 molars, 2 on top and 2 on bottom. Porter continues to be a high-maintenance kid that is very loud and tends to be quite cranky, but he also has a contagious laugh and has kept his beautiful blue eyes - take a look at the pics.
Grant's preschool ended May 21st and he sure misses it. He absolutely loved preschool, the friends, the learning, the schedule, his teacher (who he undoubtedly has a crush on), etc. Grant is always amazing us with how smart he is - I mean really amazing. Preschool this year was great for him. He made a lot of progress with writing his letters and drawing. He loves music and Spanish class and his teachers love him. Both his music and Spanish teacher have just raved about him, as do his other teachers and friends at school. Grant is very articulate and usually makes friends with the parents first and then will work on making friends with kids. Grant is very funny and so many adults comment on his humor. Just things you wouldn't expect from a kid. Grant did a 2 week session of swim lessons this summer and really thrived. Grant has a great time in the pool - it will be really nice when both boys can swim well. With it being so hot the only thing that you can do outside is swim, so we are glad we have a pool that Grant can swim in each day. Porter, has not figured out the pool or swimming so we will have to take him to swim lessons starting in the fall.
Kent and I are thankful for our jobs, both jobs keeping us very busy. Hard to complain about being swamped at work as we are just thankful to have jobs and thankful that the down economy has not adversely affected our work load. We are thankful for our nanny (aka helper extraordinaire, aka concierge, aka errand runner, aka friend, etc.) Danielle that keeps our family going, especially when Kent and I are so busy with work and trying to have fun things for the boys etc.
The rest of the summer - we are going to Utah for the Eastley family reunion in July. We are looking forward to seeing all of Kent's siblings and Grant's cousins, etc.

Thanks for the update! We can't wait to get together in July. I'm excited to see if B and G play well together.
